Hey! I’m Mel!
I started dabbling in herbal medicine back in the late 1990s, completely fascinated by and in love with nature. Back then, I had no idea I'd still be infatuated with these plants today or that they'd become my life's work.
Like you, I devoured every book I could find and took random classes. But the more I learned, the more I realized I needed to go even deeper. I wanted to understand WHY these herbs work and HOW they were working in the body.
I wanted to be that herbalist who actually knew her shit. Who truly knew what the heck they were talking about when it came to herbs.
So I went all in. I started taking all the herb courses I could - I was lucky back in the day, most were in person. I went to conferences and ate it all up! (And still do today!)
Eventually, I built a successful herbal product line that sold nationally, ran my own brick-and-mortar apothecary and tea shop, and worked one-on-one with hundreds of clients. I've been teaching herbalism since 2011.
Now, 25 years on this path, I've learned that the missing piece for most aspiring herbalists isn't just knowing about herbs - it's understanding how the human body works and how to think like a holistic practitioner. How to truly help people heal.
Body.
Mind.
Soul.
