Hi, I'm Mel
I'm a clinical herbalist, educator, and host of The Herbalist's Path podcast, on a mission to make herbalism spread like wildflowers so there's an herbalist in every home, and a healer in every community, just like it used to be!
Over 25+ years, I've worked about every herbal job there is. I ran a product line that sold in health food stores, naturopathic doctors' offices, and even REI. I've slung remedies at farmers markets, formulated hundreds of products as my community's medicine maker, opened a brick and mortar apothecary, worked 1:1 with clients, and taught countless students to trust themselves with the plants. These days, I also serve as an herbal business mentor and consultant.
And ya know what? Even with all of that, I've had plenty of moments on this path where I wondered if I was "herbalist enough" myself.
